How can I find the person I wish to sponsor?
The fundraising component of Hip Hip Hooray is managed by the Canada Helps online tool. To find and sponsor a Participant, please click here and type in the individual’s name on the left side under “Give a Gift – Find a Giving Page”.
How can I view who has sponsored me?
Log in to your Canada Helps profile to view and manage your donations. Click here to login

Set your goals!
- Think about what you would like to accomplish by September 25th. Would you like to have better mobility? Do you need to train to reach your step goal? How can you incorporate more physical activity in to your daily lifestyle? How much money would you like to raise? How do you plan to accomplish these goals?
- Commit to your goals by writing them on the attached Goal Card – to keep you motivated place this on your fridge, on your office desk, or anywhere you often pass by.
Start fundraising!
- Send an e-mail to your friends or carry your pledge pages with you: Let friends know what you’re doing and how to sponsor you.
- Use your Social Networks: Post your giving page website address on facebook, twitter or LinkedIn.
- Engage your Workplace: Let your colleagues know how they can sponsor you, or approach your company to match the donations you have raised.
- Invite members of your community centers to sponsor you.
Invite others to walk with you!
- One of the best ways you can help is to invite three other individuals to walk with you or to create a team of walkers with your colleagues and friends.
- This simple gesture will significantly help us to make your experience more enjoyable and will help to raise more funds for this important cause.
What can I expect between now and September 21st?
- To keep you motivated I will be sending you emails with fundraising and walking tips. I would also invite you to join our community on facebook: [URL] for support. I would love to hear about your progress, and share your story on facebook or in our newsletter. If you don’t have access to a computer, I am available by phone for any questions at the contact information listed on your Goal Card.
What can I expect September 21st to 25th?
- On the morning of September 21st, reset your pedometer to zero and go about your daily activities. Remember to always wear your pedometer until you have reached your goal. Enjoy any special activities you planned with family and friends. Let me know how you did!
